OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. JUNE 4th, 1932. Minutes of a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 4th day of June 1932 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present, W.C.German, Mayor Pro Tem, Commissioners Mundy and Thomas, City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Mayor Cragin, Commissioner Hansell. All claims allowed as per claims and warrant register on file in the office of the Clerk. Reports of Municipal Judge and City Clerk Approved by the Mayor Pro Tem. Monies received for the month of May as follows: $51,076.92 Sale of Sewer Bonds to the Nevada Industrial Commission. 95.00 Sale of Cemetery Lots. 91.50 Plumbing Permits. 858.00 Poll Tax 8903.30 Assessments collected on Fremont St. improvements. 2475.00 Police Court Fines. 1350.15 Licenses and fees. 64849.87 Total. Monies proportioned as follows: $50,000.00 Sewer Bond Fund. 1,076.92 " " Inst. Fund. 91.50 Water Sewer & Light Fund. 95.00 Cemetery Fund. 858.00 Street Fund. __8,903.30 B.D. Highway Bond Fund. 3,825.15 General Fund. 64.849/87 Total. $3,000.00 Transferred from the General Fund to the Street Fund. $5,000.00 Transferred from the General Fund to the Police and Fire Fund. Ryland Taylor appeared before the Board at this time and ask the City to give the sum of $75.00 from the Publicity Fund for the purchase of street decorations to be used during the American Legion Convention, and at the close of the convention the decorations should become the property of the City of Las Vegas. On motion of Commissioner Thomas seconded by Commissioner Mundy it was moved that the sum of $75.00 be taken from the Publicity Fund to purchase street decorations, same to be the property of the City of Las Vegas. Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioners Mundy and Thomas and Mayor Pro Tem German voting aye. noes none. A vacancy occurring on the Board of Examiners of the Electricians of the City of Las Vegas the name of L.E.Beedy, a journeyman electrician , was recommended to the Board to fill said vacancy. On motion of Commissioner Mundy seconded by Commissioner Thomas L.E.Beedy was appointed a member of the Board of Examiners for Electricians, in the City of Las Vegas. Vote on the motion was as follows: Commissioners Mundy and Thomas and Mayor Pro tem German voting Aye. Noes none. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting recessed until Wednesday the 8th day of June, 1932 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 8th day of June 1932 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present: W.C.German, Mayor Pro Tem, Commissioners Mundy and Hansell, City Attorney and Clerk. Absent Mayor Cragin, Commissioner Thomas. Mr. Owen appeared before the Board at this time and ask that the Board of Commissioners consider the changing of the names of the following streets in Grand View Addition of the City of Las Vegas to conform with the established streets in the City as follows: State Street to Ninth Street. Clark Street to Tenth Street La Salle Street to Eleventh Street Hill Street to Twelfth Street. No action was taken at this time.
