    CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING Las Vegas, Nevada, Jany. 28, 1925 To the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas and to Florence S. Doherty, City Clerk. I hereby call a special meeting of the Board of City Com­missioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, to be held at the office of the City Clerk in the County Court House in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday the 28th day of January, 1925, at the hour of three thirty o'clock P.M. of said day, to consider and act upon the resignation of A.W. Ham, as City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas and to consider and act upon the appointment of a successor in the event the resignation heretofore tendered is accepted. And the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said meeting in pursuance with this call therefor. _____W.C. German___________________ Mayor of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS. Las Vegas, Nevada. Jany, 28, 1925. To the members of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. In pursuance of a call this day made in writing by the Mayor of the City of Las Vegas for a special meeting of the Board of City Commissioners, I hereby in pursuance of said call give you and each of you notice that a special meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held at the office of the City Clerk in the County Court House in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, on Wednesday, the 28th day of January, 1925, at the hour of 3:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, to consider and act upon the resignation of A.W. Ham, as City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, and to consider and act upon the appointment of a successor in the event the resignation heretofore tendered is accepted. Thereupon the Clerk read the resignation of A.W. Ham, as City Attorney, as follows: Las Vegas, Nevada. Jan. 28, 1925. To the Mayor and City Commissioners, City of Las Vegas, Nevada. Gentlemen: I hereby resign as City attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. My private legal business is such that I am compelled to devote all my time to same. Respectfully A.W. Ham whereupon, on motion of Commissioner Matzdorf, seconded by Commissioner Anderson, it was ordered that Mr. Ham's resignation be accepted, to take effect at once. The vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioners Matzdorf, Elwell, Anderson and His Honor the Mayor, W.C. German, Aye. Noes, none. Thereupon the Mayor announced that nominations were in order for the appointment of a city attorney, to fill the place of A.W. Ham, resigned, whereupon Commissioners Anderson nominated F.A. Stevens. Commissioner Matzdorf seconded the nomination. It was moved by Commissioner Elwell, seconded by Commissioner Anderson, that the nominations for the position of City Attorney be closed.
