Review Journal Managing Editor FROM: Mimi Katz, League of Women Voters RELEASE: Sunday,September 21.... with picture or Monday, September 22...with picture LWV SPONSORS CANDIDATES OPEN HOUSE Elizabeth Gill, President of the League of Women Voters, invites the public to an Open House for Candidates on Saturday, September 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Room #103, Wright Hall, Social Science Building, UNLV. This event is in conjunction with the League's Annual Membership drive. According to Mrs. Gill, people will have the opportunity not only to meet the candidates but to speak with them personally. She stressed that in these critical times everyone should take an interest in their public officials and become involved in civic activities. Featured will be candidates for position on the Clark County School Board who will present their platforms, and this will be followed by questions from the audience. Co-chairmen for this important event are Cleone Johns and Margaret Quinn; program chairmen are Alice Locicero and Naomi Millisor.
