North Las Vegas can provide 50% toward bond repayment for the $50 million Municipal Court. The facility would also have the police station and administrative staff supporting law enforcement. The North Las Vegas Courthouse was built in the 1960's when the city's population was 40,000. The city now has a population of 130,000 and the case load supports the need for three judges. Since the current facility only has capacity for one judge, our judicial process is too slow. If you have any questions, please contact Mark Guiton, my legislative director, at 5-5965. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, SHELLEY BERKLEY Member of Congress SB:hu PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
