I agree.First Congregational Church a united church of Christ 1200 North 25th Street Church: 642-2220 Home: 649-4966 LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - 89101 PAUL GASTON, D.D., Pastor September 17, 1968 Flora Dungan 1705 Cochran Las Vegas, Nevada 8910^ Dear Flora, I have waited a few days to drop you this letter, until the critical time of disappointment was passed. I feel that manyi of us in Nevada who share your progressive ideas in matters <0f social, economic and political concerns have all lost a good friend and champion. There is a feeling of some bitterness and dismay that the smear tactics used in the last few days of the campaign against you were apparently effective. I am one of those who believes firmly that in the long run truth will outlast the lie, but that does not lessen the anguish of the moment. I believe that you are an intelligent person of unusual sen?sitivity to human needs and with the courage to endeaver to do something about them. I pray that there is nothing final about the present situation, for those of us who believe in you and what you stand for, can never give up. Count on me as a loyal supporter ready to help in any way that I can. Paul R. Gaston, Pastor PRG:al
