So what was it like to raise a family in Las Vegas? What do you tell people who roll up their nose at it? I remember the first time my husband and I went back to Boston after we lived here and Tobey, my oldest daughter, was only maybe a year old at the time. Just before we left unfortunately my husband did something to his back and he couldn't move. We managed to get him on the plane. Then when we arrived in Boston, I got off with Tobey and all the family was there to greet us. And where was George? They had to take him off and get him into a wheelchair. So that was when we first came back. But I remember, of course, we stayed with my mother and the family was all there. And the questions coming at the two of us were, as you say, ?What was it like living in Las Vegas?? And, ?What do you do? Are you up at the hotels all the time?? And I kept saying, ?It's like living anyplace else. You have your friends. You go shopping. You do what you have to. And you don't have to go on the Strip, not unless you want to. It's there.? And so all of these questions kept coming at us. ?You're living in Sin City.? And the first time my mother came out to visit us when we were here and we were still living in our one bedroom apartment, when my mother got off the plane, she had two big paper sacks that she was carrying. And what did she have in there but meat that she brought from Boston because she didn't think we could get stuff out here. So she was bringing you kosher meats? That's right. That's right. But I really didn't keep kosher out here. But anyway, that was what she thought of.
