VOICE, August 23, 1984 JACKSON STREET AND ME . . . By Rudi Jackson KAREN DENISE WALKER . . . Knee-C to her many patrons and friends, is a young lady who keeps quite busy while many young peo-ple find themselves with not very much to do, due to the lack of program-ming to help the black youth of oar community to have gainful skills of employment. Thanks to the family plans of her father and mother and other members of their family, this young lady is busy working to earn her place among people seeking to maintain a viable life in this rough and tumbling city of so many unemployed black people (young aimless victims of the system). A few months ago ME had her car and state-plate of tha'week: Knee- C. And then ME had a case of the munchies and made it over to Hamburger Heaven, where she is employed. While waiting for ME order, ME took note of how fine this youthful lass was in dealing with the public who came to patronize. Karen was for real in her concern and polite manners, which led M
