I agree.VAMP ?╟÷ Marilyn Kaye recently played a high seheel vamp in a production that played Lae Vegas and Atlantic City. Jackson is writer, choreo- grapher, costume designer and even composer of a small bit of original music used in the production, as well as wearing the producer and director hats. His master?╟╓s degree in -Art from UCLA explains his knowledgeable flair for stage and costume compositions. As a student professor in the music department, the already proficient musician gained priceless exposure to the in- terrelations of all performing arts. ?╟úI had a foot deformity as a child and had to wear corrective shoes until I was 18,?╟Ñ said the versatile entertainer, ?╟úI was shy and stayed at home, spending my time studying and practicing my music.?╟╓?╟╓ A knack for dancing seemed to be innate, however. Jackson appeared in the movie ?╟úWords of Music?╟Ñ and danced in Donn Arden?╟╓s ?╟úJubilee!?╟Ñ Jackson never let his handicap get in the way of his art and he still dances today at age 52. ?╟úI don?╟╓t wen warm up,?╟Ñ he boasts, ?╟úI just go out on stage and start to dance.?╟Ñ Though dancing and singing arethechief components of the show, its creator interjects comedy and acrobatic features for a pleasant variety. ?╟úI?╟╓m always interested in the whole creative process,?╟╓?╟╓ says Jackson, as attested by his various talents and manifested in his shows. Stage lighting and backgrounds create the atmosphere to eat up the various period themes. Psychedelic greens, pinks and oranges em- phasized with zebra stripes and beli-bottom trousers catapult au- diences back through time to the outrageous ?╟╓60s.; '?√ß ;/
