NELSON PETER H. ODEGARD JAMES K. POLLOCK ROGER H. WELLS EVRON M. KIRKPATRICK Mr, Jack Entratter, President The Sands Hotel, Inc. Highway 91 Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr, Entratter: I thought you would wish to be personally advised of the scheduled arrival at the Sands of His Excellency Hussein Sobhi Under Secretary of State for Municipal and Rural Affairs, Alexandria, Egypt, U.A.R. His Excellency has asked us to reserve space for him for arrival the evening of Friday, June 2. He will depart Las Vegas the following evening. I am enclosing copies of his biography and U.S. itinerary. His Excellency is a guest of the United States under the Leader Exchange Program of the Office of Cultural Affairs, Department of State. His visit to Las Vegas is part of a travel program which will provide this guest with the oppor- tunity to see our country and meet Americans with similar professional interests. He is personally a gracious man of culture and intelligence; one of the most pleasant guests I have ha# the pleasure of working with. Physically, he is over 6'6" tall and weighs about 300 pounds; both the height and weight are carried gracefully. In behalf of the Department of State we would be very apprecia tive of any enrichment of his short stay you may feel appro- priate in view of his rank and position. I would appreciate a collect telegram confirming his reserva- tion. Program Officer WHH:p r Enclosures: biography itinerary
