Freeman com pa ny PUBLIC RELATIONS 1/28 Notice of NBC-TV Show"MIBB, WIDE WORLD" telecast from Sands, 12/4; On Sunday, December 4, between 1 and 2L30 PM, Las Vegas time, NBC-TV will telecast a live remote from the Sands over the NBC network of 154 stations to 35,000,000 viewers on the program "Wide, Wide World." This program on Sunday will feature "American Rhapsody", or the story of music in America, and the Sands will participate in about 18 minutes of the 90-minute spectacular. Six television cameras will pick up Frank Sinatra singing at poolside at the Sands, Nat King Cole singing in the Copa Room, the Freddy Bell Bellboy group playing on the lounge bandstand, and will also feature the CopaGirls in a dress rehearsal, Antonio Morelli and his orchestra, and Torris Brand and his orchestra, coming from the Sands. Starting Thursday, a crew of 20 NBC cameramen and technicians will be setting up equipment in the lounge, casino, Copa Room and outside by the pool. Cables will have to be strung, to stay in place until Sunday's show is completed. Four large light platforms, and a large camera platform will also be setup in the casino and Copa Room. Your cooperation is requested in handling this situation, and you are urged to help these men make the Sands portion of this show the best remote pick-up on the program. Remote pickups will also be made from Mexico, from Canada, from Cuba via airplane television transmitters, and your cooperation is needed to make this plan work smoothly for the benefit of the Sands.
