69* 148 BACK TO SCENE 148 Bashlk Indeed seems weaker, all of a sudden, stunned at finding treason in his own household. He watches numbly as the Colonel joins them. BASHIK (dully) You are in strange company, Hallouf. COLONEL I?╟╓m in the company of a young kinsman. One?╟╓s first loyalty is still to one?╟╓s own blood. I?╟╓m sure Your Majesty remembers the rule -- He lifts the King to a sitting position, clinically examining his face and eyes. COLONEL (continuing; quoting) "I and my Brother against my Cousin. I and my Cousin against the world." Bashik closes his eyes, as if in defeat. The Colonel half-drops him, half-shoves him back to the ground. As he stands looking about, planning the immediate agenda, Bobby Seville kicks sand into Bashik's face. COLONEL (continuing) And now back to the rescue work. We?╟╓ll throw this aboard first and then the others. 149 EXT. HATCH OP HELICOPTER - DAY 149 The Colonel and Bobby lug Bashik?╟╓s limp form to the hatch, dump it inside, push it out of the way, and turn to go for the next load. 150 * * * * 150 EXT. ON SCOTT 150 still in his original awkward sprawl. The Colonel and Bobby come INTO THE SCENE. The Colonel?╟╓s foot turns Scott over, supine. They pick him, the Colonel at his hands and Bobby at his feet and start back to the copter.
