Expand the Advertising of Las Vegas as "Convention playground of the World" in SALES MEETING ?╟÷?╟÷?╟÷ take the front cover with pictures of the Convention Hall, and quickly, in order to get people thinking of Las Vegas as a Convention City. Would recommend spending $25,000 in this media alone during the next year to drive the point home that Las Vegas is ready for Conventions in September 1959. 7. Develop a Convention Badge quickly in the form of an exaggerated Silver Dollar, with space provided into which can slip the name of the convention and the name of the conventioneer, and start using this right away. I believe the cheap-looking paper and plastic pin badge doesn?╟╓t live up to the rdputation that we should try to develop for Las Vegas as the best convention place. 8. Try to get the IS Government to set up a permanent Nuclear Energy Exhibit in the Convention Hall ?╟÷ this would give the Hall some traffic exposure to Vegas tourists who could go home and talk up the Hall, and would be a tremendous prestige angle to build national publicity on. We could have the doors swung open by atomic energy, perhaps from a miniature nuclear energy plant in the exhibit. 9, Work out Advertising Space^ in the Hall itself for national products only, in much the same way as Pennsylvania Station in New York City does. The public exposure for national products during a convention year should be attractive for a sponsor, and at the same time, a tasteful display of national brand name advertising will help build up NATIONAL recognition of the Hall itself. 10, Offer the ?╤S Government gratis office space to have the Atomic Energy Commission headquartered permanently in the Hall, It would thus be near the News Bureau, and in turn would be valuable prestige point for us. - 2 - 9508 WILSHIRE BLVD. ?╟≤ BEVERLY HILLS, CAL. ?╟≤ BRADSHAW 2-8611
