    A. Many athletes we've all noticed, have turned to acting as a secondary career. There are films or "outtakes," easily available through Screen Actors Guild and the appropriate producers, showing our earstwhile sports figures caught in embarassing moments of error during the course of production. How many commercials have we seen using ' ?╟≤ sports stars to sell everything from razor blades to soft-drinks? A ripe source of material. Then, there are specific running roles in movies and television, like Tarzan, a favorite of the retired athlete, or the Rifleman, or the portly host of the Rosey Grier Show, of "Deacon" Jones starring in his own revue. Over 170 sportswriters, sportscasters and columnists participate in the selection of the athletes to be honored. This year they will be asked to make one other * selection ....
