Yang Mr. Al Freeman Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: M c7 C I am extremely pleased to enclose a Sportsmen's Club check in the amount of $5,679.98 and a Hughes Sports Network check in the amount of $6,567.89, totalling $12,247.87. With this remittance, I extend heartfelt thanks to you both for your wonderful cooperation in paving the way for our Sands Hotel Victor Awards and the marvelous tolerance and superhuman patience displayed by you while waiting for our belated remittance. The checks sent, I realize, represent a partial payment of our balance of $18,277.62. Still outstanding are the charges for stage hands, electricians, engineers, etc., and these costs will be paid as soon as an agreement can be worked out related to responsibility by Hughes Television Network and the Sportsmen's Club. It is for this purpose, Hughes Television might ask for a breakdown on those items which, of course, would clearly establish responsibility. Also, we have bills which were included in the batch sent by you, to me, which in our interpretation, were to be covered by the Sands Hotel under our letter of agreement. I would like very much, at our mutual convenience, to get together with you in Las Vegas in order to review the situation. Again, Al, Terry, Rudy and I apologize for the rather embar- rassing date of remittance. I can assure you it was merely a result of our inability to communicate with Hughes Television Network regarding items of responsibility, NATIONALLY TELEVISED PRODUCED BY THE SPORTSMEN'S CLUB FOR THE CITY OF HOPE
