HOLSUM BREAD MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA MASON CITY, IOWA April 14> I960 Mr. A1 Freeman c/o Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: le were very glad to receive your letter of April 8th. Due to absences, colds, etc. there occurred more delay in replying to your letter than we like to have happen. All of our group wish to send you greetings and best wishes. I hope it may be agreeable that I limit my answer to your letter to giving the statistical information requested. I am leaving for the West on Wednesday. Mrs. Booth is now in San Francisco and I am going to meet her. I thought that when I arrived there I would call you and per- haps we could get together and discuss matters of policy and procedure. Referring to your request for production information, the follow- ing are the figures; Jmfn -Jr*' Total number of loaves produced V 1,093,479 ?√ß Total number of loaves sold 688,818 J [tig ?√ß?╟╓ The difference between those loaves produced and those sold (204*660) is for samples, damaged and stale loaves. Referring to that portion of your letter wherein you request in- formation for Sister Felicia, Mother Gerald and your directors, the following is I believe the information you seek. The number of net loaves which we sold in the Minneapolis plant from the time we began remitting to the Foun- dation through April 2, I960 was 673,626 loaves for which we received $148,197.72. We have wholesaled the loaf at 220 per loaf* sold from*the Fargo plant 149,050 loaves for which we received $32,791} from the Mason City plant 66,143 loaves, for which we received $14,551.46} the total revenue derived from the sale of the loaves is $195,540.18* 1 perhaps should point out to you that during the year I960 we discontinued manu-^ facturing the bread in our Fargo and Mason City plants since we have daily inter?╟÷plant truck service and now bake all Angelita in the Minneapolis plant to cover the requirements of the three plants. The amount of money we have spent on advertising totals $14,705.50. Regan Bro?╟╓s Company, Wholesale Bakers Since 1882
