John H. Farley ATTORNEY AT LAW 620 ROANOKE BUILDING MINNEAPOLIS 2,MINNESOTA February 19, 1958 Mr. A1 Freeman Angelbread Foundation Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Freeman: Thank you for your letter of February 17th enclosing executed copy of agreement. I also -wish to thank you very much for the book "Take the Witness". Both your letter and the book arrived around noon today. I am shamless in admitting that I very much enjoyed your autographed dedi- cation of the book to me. As I advised you last Saturday, loaves of the bread were sent to the list of persons who had written to you (being dispatched by air), and we took every care we possibly could to see to it that the bread was so wrapped that it should arrive in good condition. We hope that the bread got to the B'nai B'rith Group in Oak Park on time. Bert Jassoy wrote Mr. Zausmer of the shipment. We also hope that you received the shipment which we sent to you and would like you to advise us of its con- dition upon arrival. One package of bread addressed to Catherine Kearns, 1220 Dewey Avenue, Luaulosa, Wisconsin (17th on the list) was returned to us marked "Town unknown". I wonder if they meant Wauwautosa, Wisconsin, which is just out of Milwaukee. The telephone company is checking the Milwaukee directory for me and if such a person at that address is given for Wauwautosa, we will ship another box to her. I will probably want to call you in the next day or so about the proceedure we should follow in attempting to straighten out the name "Angel- bread" . I suppose you have seen news items respecting weather conditions in Eastern and Midwestern parts of the country. We have been very fortunate in that we have escaped any snow or blizzards, but it has been very cold, and believe me I miss the sunny and invigorating (or should I have said enervating?) climate of Las Vegas. If you see Jerry Lewis, will you please tell him that I made it a point to see his Oldsmobile show which was telecast in Minneapolis last evening and I thought it went over very well. JHF-H Kindest regards from all of us at Regan's.
