J. T. Thrower ATTORNEY AT LAW PH. SY 2-7251 P. ?√φ. BOX 112B DOTHAN. ALABAMA July 27, 1965. Manager The Sands Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Sir: I would appreciate your opinion on the following proposition. Members of the local Country Club play gin rummy in a manner similiar to that played in your city. Recently, a matter came up regarding the rules, and if you can enlighten us on the following situation, we will all be grateful. Suppose A and B are engaged in a game of gin rummy, and A draws a card from the deck which gives him two 3-card me11s and one 4-card mell, but he does not lay his cards down nor announce that he has rummied. B draws a card from the deck which makes him the same three-me 11 situation as that held by A. However, B lays his cards down and announces that he has rummied. Now, the question is as follows: Does B get a bonus for going rummy or does A get a bonus for "burning" or "snydering" B, since A had no points left over in his hand when B went down. Thanking you, I am JTT/se J
