I agree.CHARLES E. BOWEN 910 W. CLARK ST. CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS MISS HILDA C. BOWEN DELPHI, INDIANA P. 0. BOX 158 MRS. ABNER H. BOWEN DELPHI, INDIANA Bowen Farms Mr* A1 Freeman * DELPHI, INDIANA P. O. BOX 158 Saturday,4/27/63 Dear A1 I met you as an entrant In the 7th. annual Gin Rummy tour- nament ,and also thru our mutual friend Dorothy Silver. I should have written before this to tell you how much I enjoyed the competition and although I did not do well I enjoyed every minute and everyone I played against were gentlemen and scholars so to speak, and real good company. You had the tournament very well organized, and I heard very little if any complaint. Sincere congratulations and already I am plan- ning to he back next year. Club where we have many fine players and a lot of enthusiasm. Could you send me samples or if they are going begging a supply of the forms you uaed-namely the score sheets - the individuals record card of wins and losses- the sheets onwhich you compiled the records and progress of the tournament and anything else you think might help me in the sponsorship of a successful tournament. I expect about 75-100 entrants and we will play one night a month from now until December. If you have any suggestions for a small country club tournament they will be appreciated. Do the casino ever pass along playing cards that are unusable to them but plenty good for the rest or us* Thanks for a wonderful tournament there and anything I am promoting a gin tournament here in our Champaign Country you may be able to help us with.
