Here's your chance to bring fame and glory not only to yourself but also to the Queen City, plus win $10,000 in the process. The fantastic Sands hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, is hosting the first International Bridge tournament in Las Vegas from October 9th to the 12th. Bridge players from all over the world will be in competition for the $20,000 in prize money. At the same time the tourna- ment is going on, Miss Lena Horne, who once announced her ?ǣretirement?ǥ from show Ibiz, will be swinging in the showroom. ROSS TO HEAD TRIDENT FENCING CLUB DfS^illiam Robert Ross, leading Colorado fencing authority, has been named/to head the Trident Fencing Club, sponsored by the Trident Theatre. Classes will begin Mon- day at the club's new headquarters at 1019 S. Gaylord St., across from the theatre. Registration is open to all interested persons, whether beginning, amateur or expert fincers, and is not limited to those working or studying in the theatre. Ross, known also for his judo and skiing skills has taught fencing at Western Reserve University, Colorado College and the University of Denver. He has won numerous awards in fencing competition throughout the U.S. and has instructed for the YMCA and various other community groups.
