I agree.JOSEPH DEFRANCO director public relations Studebaker CORPORATION October 17, 1963 Mr. Al Freeman The SANDS Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: Your letter of October 10 was a timely one because it reminded me to have the finishing touches added to the enclosed pictorial review of Red Skelton?╟╓s visit to South Bend. In addition to Sherwood Egbert?╟╓s personal note to Red, we want to thank and congratulate all of you for a performance well done. The townspeople are still discussing in detail, not only Red?╟╓s convivial feeling toward people, but the pains he took to accommodate them whenever an autograph was sought. Believe me, this left a lasting impression. Under separate cover, news clips and 8x10 photographs are being sent to you. This has been an oversight on my part, Al ... I have had a heavy travel schedule which precluded my doing this earlier. In some of these clips, the press agent is more photo- genic than the star ... and you know better than to up- stage the boss, Al! Be sure to give ray best to Big Red and Little Red, and I look forward to seeing you sometime in the near future. Avanti ...
