There?╟╓s nothing the indefatigable Red Skelton loves better than an audience. He proved it once again recently in the Western American town of CSsper, Wyoming* As Red, the headliner of the stage show at the Casper Fair, started to go into his act, he took one look at the sky and knew it ?· it 1 , ' ;?√ß;< ; ; \ ?║p| ?╟≤ -?√ß |J| v v::_: v > . , iig: / |: v . However, the clown decided that if the 14#000 | # | . v'i !; : p people assembled for the show were game, he was too* And so the Show I went on as rain pelted down* ?║ Over S,000 people were in the uncovered section, but no one left. ???║ At one point in the show, Red took his shoes off because the stage was 1 . . . ?╟ - ./?√ß ?√ß ?√ß * * ( so slippery. As the clown?╟╓s 75-minute act neared its close, he the audiences ?╟╓?╟╓Wait a minute, Ifve got to go empty my shoes**.M They were running over with rainwater. As it continued to pour, the audience showed no indication of wanting to rush to cover at the show?╟╓s end. Instead, they gave Skelton a standing ovation as the rain came down* They simply couldn?╟╓t believe that any star would work so hard under such a handicap* ?╟≤ 3 The president of the Fair revealed that the crowd was the largest ever assembled in Wyoming to be entertained by any star. From his Wyoming triumph, Skelton headed for London, England where he is filming a hilarious take-off on ?╟╓?╟╓Elizabeth Taylor?╟╓s London.?╟Ñ Freddie the Freeloader, Skelton?╟╓s famous character, will be the star of a one-hour television special which will screen as the first episode in Red?╟╓s weekly TV show seen World-Wide. The busy clown will also play an important cameo part in 20th ; ftilff Century-Fox?╟╓s ?╟╓?╟╓Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines,?╟Ñ which he will do in England after the filming of his TV show. And if bad weather should occur while Skelton is in England, it can be safely assumed that he is one star who will make the best of it ?╟÷ just as he did in Wyoming* I Jr ' ?√ß' ?√ß V*W'-' ; i si r:r.rmiiM. **0?╜??
