Box 28 LAS VEGAS, NEVADA DUdley 2-4575 JApiC PEPPER BUREAU MANAGER 31 January 1956 Dear Mr. Freeman: Following a meeting Monday in the office of the Resort Hotels Ass'n., I received calls from two publicity directors requesting details concerning the travel film presently being shot in connection with United Air Lines in Denver. In order to clarify the issue I am enclosing a copy of the letter from Jim Kennedy, District Publicity Manager for United Air Lines in Denver. This letter resulted from a telephpn?║ conversation with Mr. Kennedy at which time I requested him to state in detail as to how the film would be made and where it would be used. After receiving the letter I submitted it to the Resort Hotels Ass!n., and was later informed that the Sands had been selected by drawing names from a hat. In a conversation following the departure of the TWA-Quickie Vacation group at the airport, Skip Lawson and Ed Parham were selected to be the models in the film. If I remember correctly present were Abe Schiller, Stan Irwin, Al Freeman, Skip Lawson and Ed Parham. The following weekend we started shooting the film in company with Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Bill Michel sen, news director for KB-TV. At this stage the film, including the pictures of the couple departing from Denver, is 3/h complete. The film will include footage on all hotels. As you can see by the enclosed letter the film is not just a one-shot deal but will be used by United Air Lines in other cities. I hope this clarifies the issue. Sincerely, C ,ck Pepper iREAU MANAGER Mr. Al Freeman The Sands Las Vegas, Nevada 'THE EYES AND EARS OF THE WORLD' ****** .S,,?╟?iiiiillllllllllllllllin ~M EDITORIAL OFFICES 544 WEST 43rd ST.
