April 1964 The Club and Sports Magazine Page 31 MEET LLOYD SANDO Vice-President and General Manager of the Beverly Hills Club is well known Southern California hotel man, Lloyd Sando. Mr. Sando came to the Beverly Hills Club from the Sheraton Marina Hotel in Playa del Rey. He was director of Sales for a number of years at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and assisted in the opening of this famed hotel. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mr. Sando attended high school in Los Angeles as well as USC, Cal- Tech, and the American Institute of Banking. In addition to his hotel sales executive positions, Sando has held managerial positions with such leading Southern California hotels as the Beverly Wilshire and Ray Ryan's El Mirador Hotel in Palm Springs. He is a member of the Santa Monica Bay Council of the U.S. Navy League, and served on the Executive Board for the Crescent Bay Area of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Sando is also a member of the National Sales Executives Association, Hotel Sales Management Association, and the internationally famed Mount Kenya Safari Club located in Kenya, East Africa.
