I'm very glad to have been in so many places to see this happening in front of my eyes. I've also learned never to underestimate, or try to fathom, the workings of the minds of over-ardent fans. During my appearance at the Olympia Theatre in Paris last fall, a couple of attractive young maids entered my hotel room and proceeded to make the bed, dust, sweep and do all the other thing a maid is supposed to do. 1 began to feel a little uneasy because they looked at me and giggled all the while they per- formed these chores.
