I agree.Sands Hotel Marking Its 15th Anniversary More than 30 Hollywood stars will mingle with the 700 guests as the Sands Hotel marks its 15th anniversary, starting today. The Sands celebrates its 15th anniversary with an elaborate schedule of events for more than 700 guests and celebrities in a three-day gala celebration. The anniversary festival has become the top social event in Las Vegas each year, as guests from 46 states and four foreign countries converge on the hotel. The festivities start tonight with a welcoming midnight luau. Tomorrow night the traditional Anniversary Show, presented by show producer Jack Entratter, will be staged in the Copa Room. Danny Thomas, who opened the hotel on Dec. 15th, 1952, as the Sands first star will be featured, along with Sammy Davis Jr., current Sands star, and Joey Bishop. The Sands Inner Circle Shop will present a luncheon fashion ?çittttlifiiflii DANNY THOMAS show at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Copa Room, featuring the "Resort '68" collection of famed California designer Michael Novarese. A formal Anniversary Ball tops off the celebration Saturday SAMMY DAVIS JR. night in the Grand Ballroom. The American Brass and Jack Eglash orchestras will provide dancing music for the affair, to be attended by guests and more than 30 Hollywood stars and 16 top national press people.
