I AM CHAIRMAN OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR THIS AFFAIR, AND THIS IS MY WAY OF THANKING YOU AND LAS VEGAS FOR THE GOOD TIME MY FAMILY AND I HAD WHILE YOUR GUESTS AT THE SANDS. ThIS IS WHAT WE PLAN TO DO. We WANT TO DECORATE THE ENTIRE BALLROOM OF THE PEABODY Hotel to resemble Las Vegas and a casino, preferably the Sands Casino, but it could be a joint sample of cas i nos, '* Str i p ?╟úhotel promotion. We will need dummy palm trees, blowups of the Strip and downtown Las Vegas and all the other material to make this a gala affair. We have the permission of our attorney general to use roulette wheels, dice tables and slot machines and any CARD GAME. We ARE GOING TO GIVE EACH PERSON WHO ATTENDS THE CONVENTION $500.00 |N STAGE MONEY. THEY WILL USE THIS STAGE MONEY AS A "NEST EGG" TO GAMBLE WITH. WE HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH SEVERAL LARGE MANUFACTURERS AND WITH LOCAL MERCHANTS TO PUT UP SEVERAL MAJOR APPLIANCES SUCH AS TV SETS, WASHING MACHINES, ELECTRIC RANGES, REFRIGERATORS, TAPE RECORDERS, RADIO SETS, LUGGAGE, ETC., AS MERCHANDISE WHICH CAN BE PURCHASED WITH THIS STAGE MONEY. We ARE TRYING AT THIS POINT TO GET A NEW VOLKSWAGEN ROADSTER AS PART OF THE PROMOTION, IN OTHER WORDS IF A PERSON HAS A LOT OF LUCK AND ACCUMMULATES A LARGE PILE OF STAGE MONEY HE THEN CAN GO OVER TO THE SHOP, WHICH WILL BE AT THE END OF THE 'BALLROOM, AND BUY WHAT HE WANTS WITH IT.
