The contest has been accepted by WTCN?╟÷TV and Radio, ABC, Minnea?╟÷ polis-St. Paul. Don Doty, recently nominated as the ?╟╓?╟╓Northwest's Number One Disk Jockey?╟Ñ, is the personality pluging this promotion on his numer- ous radio and television shews. Doty is on the air six hours daily on radio plus one-half hour daily on television as well as having a popular two hour television show Saturday afternoon. The contest is exactly the same as described to you in the initial presentation with regards to Des Moines. Unfortunately, as things developed, we did not have enough time to properly promote this promotion in Des Moines. Rather than do a halfway job we decided that in all fairness to those con- cerned it would be ?╟úbetter business" to cancel this promotion entirely. WTCN-Radio and WTCN-TV, in addition to a full promotion on the Doty radio and television programs, is devoting numerous gratis radio and tele- vision spots to the contest during the three (3) weeks same will be on the air. The two participating theatres, the Gopher, Minneapolis, and the Strand, St. Paul, already have a screen trailer running and a lobby poster posted. You will be sent a photograph of this lobby poster as soon as same is available. Western Airlines, the participating airline, has posted an attractive poster in their downtown ticket office windows in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Complete credits to the contest have been noted thereon.
