I agree.t *f THE WORLDS GREAT NEW CONVENTION CENTER Las Vegas, for years the undisputed Enter- tertainment Capital of the World, today has established itself as one of the leading convention cities in the United States. Since its opening in April, 1959, the $6,500,000 revolutionary type Las Vegas Convention Center has been the site of dozens of major national conclaves whose delegates find they can "get more done then have more fun" in the resort capital which is the hub of the scenic southwest. The Convention Center is located on four- lane Paradise Valley Road and is only minutes away from the airport, the Strip and famous Downtown Fremont Street. To accommodate convention delegates and tourists there are 14 resort hotels, 35 commercial hotels and 250 motels with more than 20,000 air conditioned rooms capable of housing more than 50,000 visitors daily. With its new ultra-modern airport and 10,000 foot runway, AAcCarran Field is serviced by jets of the nation's major airline companies, with direct service to all parts of the nation. Also at AAcCarran Field are two private aircraft facilities for the hundreds of planes coming to Las Vegas daily. The area is also on the main line of the Union Pacific Railroad between Salt Lake and Los Angeles and has three transcontinental bus lines. Located only 285 miles from Los Angeles it is intersected by main cross-country arterial highways. Located on 47 acres of land the Convention Center covers 73A acres and is a fifth of a mile long. The Exhibit Hall alone contains 90,000 square feet. There are 17 separate meeting rooms and two kitchens. The floor of the auditorium, under the aluminum dome is 162 feet in diameter with a seating capacity of 8,500. Looking like a giant flying saucer from the air, the circular dome is eight stories high. Designed for all types of conventions, the Las Vegas Convention Center is truly the WORLD'S GREAT NEW CONVENTION CENTER.
