I agree.t ahd if it had, I probably would have rejected the idea for fear of giving you the impression that we would be repaying your past kindnesses by asking you to bid for our convention. I can assure you, Al, that so long as I have a voice in NPPA, our organiza- tion will never forget its friends, but with equal emphasis, the organization will never try to take advantage of them. Ij! Either way, this thing has developed into the kind of a dilemna in which you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. We are terribly sorry it had to happen at all and particularly that it had to involve you, Jack Entratta and the Sands. In my book you rate among NPPA's best friends. If we needed any further proof of this fact, it is certainly evident in your offer to help in any way possible to make our '64 convention successful, despite your disappointment in us. Your offer to host a cocktail party or do anything else that would be helpful is most generous. I am keeping my fingers crossed that TWA will invite me to participate in the '64 Quickie Vacation, since it will give us a chance to meet in person and discuss details of anything that may have developed between now and then. My best to you always. Sincere ph Costa irman of the Board JC. els cc: E. C. , D. Swenson
