I agree.8/13/62 For release upon receipt - CAROL BURNETT SCOOPED BY JACK ENTRATTER FOR SPECIAL SANDS SHOW, OPENING WED AUG 22 Las Vegas, Nevada (August 13).......Adding to his long line of booking "firsts?ǥ and successful innovations on the Las Vegas show-producing scene, producer Jack Entratter has scooped up Carol Burnett, the brightest new star in show business today, for his Sands Cop a Room show, opening Wednesday, August 22. Entratter watched Carol for a long time on TV, scouted her personally on the TV hour she did with Julie Andrews, and when Miss Burnett was ready for a nationwide tour of theatres and concert-shows, the Sands producer signed her to wind up her big jump from TV fame to nightclub stage stardom, at the Sands in a special two-week show. The tour has been a tremendous triumph for Carol, with record- breaking grosses nearly everywhere she has played, and especially in the South and Texas.
