I agree.10/11 SANDS-BAKERSFIELD PROJECT GENERAL IDEA: 1. Bakersfield, California boasts one of the highest wealth per capita ratios for any area in America. 2. The Sands plans to move into this market with advertising and promotion to encourage 28 people each week to fly direct to the Sands in Las Vegas via a chartered plane, arriving Friday after- noon, leaving the Sands on Sunday afternoon. 3. Plane is a DC-3, operated by U.S.Aircoach Systems, headed by Henry Price. Price per person for roundtrip is $36.50. There is still no clearcut written understanding on this point ---- Henry Price feels the Sands diould pay for any vacant seats on the flight to Las Vegas at the rate of $36.50. Hike Shapiro and Price have been talking about this point, but there is no definite agreement as yet, except a general discussion to ?╟╓?╟╓see how things go and we?╟╓ll make sure you don't get hurt, etc.?╟Ñ 4. Plane would leave Bakersfield, from KERN COUNTY AIRPORT, at 3 PM, each Friday, arriving at McCarran Airport in Las Vegas 90 minutes later. Passengers will be transported to the Sands by Tanner limousines or bus furnished by Henry Price, and luggage will be handled by Price to arrive at the hotel with the passengers. 5. Plane would leave Las Vegas at 3 PM on each Sunday, with passengers taken to field in Tanner transportation furnished by Price. 6. Reservations for the flight, to be called (idea only) KERN COUNTY WEEKENDER, will be handled by Lambourne Travel Agency in Bakersfield, with commission paid to Lambourne by Price on plane tickets. We have no verified financial agreement, if any exists, with Lambourne and Sands, on commission status of room bills. 7. If project succeeds to point of a second plane being needed, idea is to try to place this flight in middle of week. _working plan
