I agree.6/29 Freeman company PUBLIC RELATIONS Jack IDEA IOR PRESS PREVIEW FUR FASHION SHOW BY TEITLEBAUM. Discussions with Teitlebaun about tying in Sands with his promotional ideas resulted in the following suggested plan: 1. Teitlebaun usually holds a press preview in Dos Angeles for his new furs which is well covered by newsreels and wires. We could stage this preview at the Sands on Sunday, August 12, perhaps in a Twilight fashion show which would sake for unusual pictures. This would be covered by about 20 press people including 5 newsreels, 3 wire services, 4 L. A. papers, 3 trade papers and about 5 miscellaneous columnists and syndicated writers. 2. Show could be held at the pool using the bridge and with unusual lighting effects which we could have Maintenance set up at very low cost. 3. Since it is essentially a fashion show for the press, a twilight or night time show would not detract from the casino especially since it would not be publicized in advance. The effectiveness of this kind of show would be evident in the press coverage. I believe if we were to hold a night time fashion show for the public in conjunction with this press preview and publicize it, that we would attract a lot of people from other hotels to the Sands grounds and eventually to the casino * and I do not believe we would hurt our own casino by holding such a show for 45 minutes at twilight or at night. 4. Teitlebaun would transport the press, the models and 60 furs. 5. Sands is requested to accommodate and feed these people for one night.
