FREEMAN COMPANY publicists S/23/S7 Mr* Colin McKlnley Las Vegas SUN Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mae, Biclosed are the pictures 1 pulled out of the .mail on its way to ELECTRONIC AGE, which I thought you might want to send in yourself to Park Irvine* The general story on this gimmick la as followsi It is called the Telecasino Camera Circuit and was installed by RCA Victor in The Sands at a cost of 1^0,000, shared equally by us and RCA Victor as it was a promotional idea* There am 12 such cameras, as shown in Picture #1, mounted in the ceiling of The Sands and projecting down through an aperture, as shown in Picture #2# The cameras project only the actual play on the tables and the hands of the players on to a master screen, as shown in Picture #3, which is located in the Executive Offices* Picture |% shows Governor Russell at right getting ready to flick the first switch to turn the Telecasino Cameras on, as Sands1 President Jake Preedman (to left of the television set) demonstrates the apparatus* To the left of Jake Preedman is Bobbins Cashill, Secretary of the Nevada State Tax Commission, and"Paul McDermott, member of the Nevada State Tax Commission which regulates and licenses gambling in the state of Nevada* These officials heartily endorsed the idea as a fine public service, inasmuch as the psychological effect on both employees and the public helps to bring out into the open any of the questions which would usually crop up about a gambling enterprise* As shown in Picture #5# the dealers themselves and the guards in The Sands tell the Sands* ** more ?╜?╟≤ 9508 WILSHIRE BLVD. ?╟≤ BEVERLY HILLS, CAL. ?╟≤ BRADSHAW 2-86 11 w* 1 .-J&***
