BURLITE ENRICHES PLUSH HOTEL ^ ^m- ilfHT ws??r Ml This is the latest in the plush splendor of Las Vegas hotel buildings. The Aqueduct at the Sands Hotel is finished in pink and white tile and concrete. It i ures 275 feet in length and rises three stories housing 83 rooms and suites. Perhaps the costliest hotel accommodations in America were recently opened at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Included in the plush furnishings of each of the 83 suites and rooms are specially designed and constructed closet doors of FOREST BURLITE. The new three-story building, called Aqueduct, will cost more than $1,000,000 when it is completed with another $500,000 for furnishings bringing the grand total to about $1,600,000. Featured in the new building are 10 suites averaging 1600 square feet of living space. Each of the suites has been furnished at a cost of between $18,000 and $22,000. Several of the suites include a private swimming pool and rent for $115 a day. Other features of this Las Vegas extravaganza include 24-hour maid service, sunken Roman baths, imported adornments, a putting green and a special Buick Riviera furnishing 24-hour "guestmobile" service to and from the casino and lobby. One of the outstanding features of each of the rooms is the bifold closet doors surfaced with FOREST BURLITE. A special design was carved into the BURLITE and then the surface was painted an off-white while the design was striped with a color harmonizing with the individual room decor. The doors were made by Like Mfg. Corp., Downey, California, and the carved design was chosen by the Albert Parvin Co., Los Angeles. FOREST BURLITE was used because of its rich grass cloth texture and the tough durability of FOREST Hardboard. BURLITE may be left in its natural warm brown tone or painted any color. This Las Vegas hotel building was designed by Julius Gabrielle, Las Vegas architect. It was built by the Sierra Construction Co., also of Las Vegas. Furnishings are by the Albert Parvin Co. ?╟≤?╟≤ ' W/ttb)^ i I Typical of the rooms at the Aqueduct is this with rich furnishings including the FOREST BURLITE closet doors on the right. The suites have been furnished at a cost of between $18,000 and $22,000 each. These bifold closet doors, shown below, especially designed and constructed with FOREST BURLITE, compliment the expensive surroundings. A special design was carved into each of the doors demonstrating the workability of FOREST Hardboard.
