I agree.CBS ELECTRONICS A Division of Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. DANVERS, MASSACHUSETTS ?╟≤ TELEPHONE, SPRING 4-2360 1990 NO. MELROJ ES reeman ELECTRON TUBES CBSj SEMICONDUCTORS July 6, 1960 -THE-'SANDS HOTEL Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: I am sure that this year our plans are far more concrete and that this activity can be of mutual benefit to us both. The program that we are planning for the Columbia Phonograph Distributors this fall is a promotion called "Play At The Sands." This program will begin August 1 in the Chicagoland and Mid- western markets and the program consists as follows: A free trip will be offered to the consumers via United Air Lines to the Sands Hotel for four days of fun and play. The campaign will be kicked off in newspaper advertising, General Outdoor Adver- tising billboards and each dealer cooperating will have a window display showing our record and portable line with the advertising theme built around the Sands Hotel brochure - we are having this brochure blown up to ten times the present size. The consumer trip will be given away on a purely raffle-type promotion. We are directing the consumer to participating dealers for a demonstration of our Columbia "stereophonic projection" phonograph and a stereo- fidelity record during which time they will be presented a United Air Line baggage check to be filled out with their name and address. Five drawings will be held and the winner announced at that time. If there is anyway that you can help in defraying part of this cost, it would be greatly appreciated as I feel sure that the impact will have great advertising and merchandising value for the Sands Hotel. Hoping to hear from you in the near future, I remain Yours very sincerely COLUMBIA PHONOGRAPHS I...III u . .r -nm ??i ?╟≤"* i , District Sales Manager WJLires
