C U LVER-CITY CALIFORNIA January 9> 1958 Dear Al, Just a line to tell you that I have written to Arthur Pincus of our home office today re your proposed tie-up idea. I am quite sure that I will hear something from him about Monday or Tuesday. You know I mentioned to you that "Les Girls" will probably have played off in Europe by the time we could get anything working and suggested "Gigi" instead. I have not seetr "Gigi" but from what I hear it?╟╓s a great picture. Certainly, we would want something good to tie to. Anyway, "Gigi" is a romantic comedy with music. It stars Leslie Caron, Maurice Chevalier, Louis Jourdan, Hermione Gingold, Eva Gabor and Jacques Bergerac. The thought comes to my mind that maybe you could think in terms of Chevalier being brought into the deal somewhere. I think that he is now in Paris. Has he ever played Vegas? Could he appear with the girls from Europe? I don?╟╓t think there is any question of his drawing power for you up there. Maybe even the crowd with the most money to spend, etc. Anyway, we could always try to ring him in on something during the European contests in selecting the girls. Then there?╟╓s Leslie Caron, Eva Gabor, etc, none of whom are tied to major studio contracts. It?╟╓s just a thought to pass along. I will be in touch with you just as soon as I hear from New York. In the meantime, let me know if anything further comes up from you end. All the best. i HR HRMBRkbck NO AGREEMENT OR ORDER WILL BE BINDING ON THIS CORPORATION UNLESS IN WRITING AND SIGNED BY AN OFFICER
