Donn Arden's Hallelujah Hollywood," the most spectacular of all extravaganzas, will be unveiled in a formal opening Friday, April 19th at the MGM Grand Hotel. The announcement of the opening of the spectacular was made by MGM Grand president Alvin Benedict Arden, the world's foremost producer of nightclub extravaganzas, has created in Hallelujah Hollywood a crackling show version of just about everything musical MGM turned out in celluloid. The show, with a cast of 120, including many "beautiful showgirls and dancers, will be staged in the appropriately named Ziegfeld Room of the sprawling new resort hotel. Showgirls, canders, singers, dancing nudes and others will drape and undrape themselves in over 700 glittering, sparkling costumes, in front, on top, underneath and inside spactacular stage settings on the largest and most modern stage in the world. The show will most certainly be the super-spectacular to top all previous attempts at the lable, with such distinctive Arden touches as a full-sized pirate ship going up in flames and sinking, and a full-scale full-stage aquarium in which a dolphin does a water-ballet with an aquabelle ?╟÷ winding up with the mammal disrobing the girl.
