Est. 1888 Forrest Duke The Visiting Fireman99-J n Martin Returns To Riv In September Dean Martin agreed to return dates at the Riviera in September and next January as he neared the Monday close of his record-shattering premiere date in the Versailles Room. "Can't remekber when I've enjoyed playing Las Vegas more than I did this time around," said Dino. , "The crowds were fantastic and the guys around the hotel made my engagement seem like a vacation. I even beat Don Cherry and Tony Frabbiele at golf one day ?╟÷ after they beat me 20 times hii a row." Martin is anxiously awaiting the release of "Airport," the film adaptation of the runaway best seller in which he plays a non-singing dramatic rolel "I can't understand how I could portray a pilot trying to crash land a crippled airplane, yet still be afraid to ride an elevafor," he noted. "When I see how the picture comes oUt, I may try an elevator." ?╟≤ w ?╟≤ / CHOREOGRAPHERS Velerie Camille and Lg Wonado have developed a new ^^..^^ S the Charleston for the bis Chicago produc Hon nurr her in "Pzazz '70_>nd All That Jazz Baby" which will -IZv atIhf^kert Inn Thursday. Syndicated.Column / "Pzazz '70" Completely new innovations in costume desig'n will be revealed when the Desert Inn unveils its new musical superspeetacular "Pzazz 70 and All that Jazz, Baby" tonight. Thousands of yards of fabric ranging from traditional weaves of silks, satins and velvets to the exciting new vinyls, metal cloths and Cellophane synthetics have been used by designer Bill Campbell to develope a post-contemporary look in both the courturiere and theatrical sense. See- through fabrics have never been more daringly employed. Feathers too. Campbell tied up the entire New York market ?╟≤to find enough of the rare quality pheasant feathers used in "Pzazz 70" and then had to go to the source in South Africa to get the particular kind of ostrich trim required for the extravaganza's finale. But because each member of the oast has been signed by Frank Sennes and Donn Arden for their attractiveness, musical background whether vocally or instrumentally, their dancing style or form of comedy, every member of the cast not only had to be personally measured for their costumes but also had to be photographed in color in order to have the Campbell designee reflect both the artists physical appearance and personality. The physical types varied so much that it became necessary to biograph each person and part so that /the costumes could be designed to totally project their roles. No other nightclub production of the magnitude of "Pzazz 70" has ever exercised such meticulous care to showcase the talents of its performers.
