I agree.CM The Greensboro Record, Wednesday, October 8, 1969 Dazzling Performances Ice Show Is Dazzling BY ROY MARTIN Assistant City Editor Holiday On Ice celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Greensboro Coliseum and its own 25th anniversary in dazzling fashion here last night. Costumes were brilliant, lighting was spectacular and comedy refreshing. Except for orchestra accompaniment which sounded a bit ragged in the opening moments and a few minor spills on the ice, the show well justifies the promotional: "bigger and better than ever." It was a nostalgic performance for the Greensboro Coliseum. Holiday On Ice was the first event staged in the Coliseum in October, 1959. The show has always enjoyed good audi- A Review .lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.ini:!:!! ences in the Gate City and last night was no different. There were few vacant seats and the crowd responded to the skaters with warmth and enthusiasm. The opening anniversary number and the finale are clearly the most glittering events of the show. Both are heightened by the use of the mirror lighting effects from tlie top of the Coliseum. As for individual performances it is not difficult to understand Ronny Robertson as the star of Holiday On Ice. His skating is flawless and his show manship reflects eloquence. Juanita Percelly and Tommy Allen (Mr. and Mrs. Allen) are excellent in their dual number. Their technique is well coordinated and ^ executed with a pleasing precision. Holiday On Ice is a well wrapped package. Number to number transitions are smooth and accomplished and the excellent comedy relief is the added ingredient for enjoyment. There are few better ways to spend an evening.
