I agree.Wednesday, September 10, 1969 Pfikmfr Finley Quits Post With 'Holiday on Ice'; Donn Arden May Exit Too John Finley has resigned as production director of "Holiday on Ice." He had been with the show for 23 years in virtually all executive capacities. His contract with the show was up on Sept. 1 and terms for a new deal were not worked out satisfactorily. Indications are that Donn Arden, who has been staging and directing the show for the past few years, also may not return to the layout next year. Arden has been producing the shows at Le Lido, Paris, and the Stardust, Las Vegas. Finley currently has no plans, but expects to take his family on a vacation to Ireland before scouting around. Majority owner of the ice show is Madison Square Garden, where the layout is currently appearing. Morris Chalfen, who is the show's executive producer, is a minority stockholder. He sold out his majority interest in the show to the Garden a few years ago.
