Although they played with strong determination, the "Pzazzers" went doWn to defeat at the hands of the Frontier Airlines stewardesses, 3-2. The game was played at halftime of the Denver-New York American Basketball Association contest. Shown making a shot is leggy Rusty Taylor who made the only points for the EM Gals 1969 gold cup GOLD CUP QUEEN ?╟÷ Lovely Bonnie Palma, an eye pleasing 37-24-36, will reign as "Miss Gold Cup 1969?╟Ñ during the big finals in June. Some twenty country clubs will participate in the big tournament. Winning prize will be the coveted Gold Cup, the richest prize in amateur golf. PREPARATION ?╟÷ Robert Malaga, left, executive secretary of the US. Lawn Tennis Association, discusses plans for the first Howard Hughes Open Ten-nis Tournament with DI tennis pro Chuck Kellog. The big tourney, scheduled to be played at the Desert Inn, Frontier and Sands tennis courts, Oct. 6-12, will have cash prizes totaling $50,000. Featured in the event will be the world*s top net players.
