Page 8 alternating series or individually. The huge stage's revolving turntable can immediately produce a violent rainstorm or unloose/#a raging snow blizzard. These stage effects facilities, in fact, are so noteworthy and unique that many persons have considered them qualified for star billing. For the virtuoso staging which has characterized the eight editions of "Lido de Paris" would not be possible without the stage's remarkable and vast machinery?╟÷ingeniously and unerringly synchronized to work silently and awesomely for the enjoyment of the more than 9,000,000 showgoers who have viewed the legendary revues. Naturally Frank Sennes assumed a huge, and calculated risk in launching the "Lido de Paris" productions in 1958. It called for a great capital outlay by the Stardust Hotel operators. It involved a dramatic and daring switch from the traditional Las Vegas show format of presenting star headliners plus supporting performers. Sennes' astute vision and daring showmanship has paid off in many directions. It established a trend that has brought international fame to Las Vegas, directing a new army of traffic.to this once somnolent community. Too, it triggered an entertainment revolution among Las Vegas1 theatrical entrepreneurs. By climbing on the Stardust's production bandwagon other Las Vegas Strip hotels have generated an additional flow of tourist traffic. This has brought unbounded prosperity to everybody in the land of sun, fun and chance.
