?·^fHw# , | ^ jkK A,/ Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen and Ahwnti. For those of you who do not know me I am Elaine Celario, the Tropicana Entertainment Director. I kno^h^S ^-Um> entertainers from all decades,'lets hear from the 60?╟╓s ..70?╟╓s....80?╟╓s..90?╟╓s....and the millennium!~tVy?? Uc V^Vuu cAr -Hve of -fh^ Fifty fabulous years!! It has been a privilege to be associated with the Tropicana and the World Famous Folies Bergere ^ from a dancer in 1983 until the present. I have the same sense vVi^ biut/**, of pride as all of the showgirls, dancers, acts, stage and wardrobe crews, former owners and executives past and present. It has been a great run.....the longest in Las Vegas history and a name that exudes the ultimate showgirl and the epitome of a classic Las Vegas production. I would like to thank Rebecca from the box office, my assistant Jackie, all my line captains, cast, crew, wardrobe, and Brittany from public relations for their hard work and dedication to this event and the Folies Bergere. Due to the legendary reputation of the Folies Bergere we have received many warm and heartfelt interest from the media. Speaking of reputation there is one person that all of us have worked with, respected, feared, and have been awestruck by his genius. Jerry Jackson has been the pulse of the Folies since 1976. He has created and reinvented the Folies for over 30 years. His set and costume designs, musical arrangements, and of course his energetic and sometime seemingly impossible choreography...oh those kicks in the can can.... has transcended the decades.
