I agree.1900 - 1920?╟╓s Speech In a few short years, from 1900 to the 1920?╟╓s, the female image went through some radical changes. Tired of not having the right to vote and feeling like a second class citizen, women?╟╓s suffrage took a strong stand. Fashion always reflecting the attitudes of the times decided that the body should no longer be imprisoned in a confining corset and layers of clothing. In the name of equality, waistlines were relaxed, hemlines went up, and hair was bobbed - breaking out of the cocoon like a shimmering butterfly....the new woman was born
