Neiman, most noted for his sketches and paintings in the field of sports, is equally famous on the entertainment scene for his portrayal of beautiful women. For more than 30 years, LeRoy Neiman?╟╓s sketches have appeared in Playboy Magazine. The ?╟úLeRoy Neiman Sketchbook?╟Ñ became a monthly feature in Playboy beginning in 1979, and has given the artist a reputation for capturing the female figure on canvas, unlike any artist in the history of art. Neiman?╟╓s work illustrates excitement, challenge, movement and inspiration. His ability to document the action of his subjects has given him international recognition. As an artist, LeRoy Neiman is represented in almost every major museum, permanent collection and art gallery throughout the world. Now, with his representation of the world?╟╓s most famous and longest-running French production show, the Tropicana?╟╓s Folies Bergere, his works creatively reveal the gaiety and magic that is portrayed nightly on the famed Folies stage. Among his subjects are the tall, statuesque showgirls, the svelte figures of the acrobat dancers, and the painted imagery of spotlights, sets and costumes. LeRoy Neiman?╟╓s sketches and paintings of the Folies Bergere are used by the Tropicana Resort in advertising, publicity and promotional marketing and most recently, on limited edition commemorative gaming chips. Neiman designed the award plaques on display in the Casino Legends Hall of Fame.
