Addendum To Cast Contract dated 4/14/97 Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, demands for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct when: (1) submission to such conduct is made explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual's employment; (2) submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as a basis for employment decisions affecting the individual; such conduct has the effect of interfering with job performance or creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment. Sexual harassment charges should be submitted promptly to the Supervisor, the Director of Labor Relations, or Security, all charges will be taken seriously and investigated. Allegations of sexual harassment - even those without a factual basis - can have a significant adverse impact on the Hotel. There will be no retaliation for filing sexual harassment charges or resisting sexual harassment. Every reasonable effort will be made to protect confidentiality consistent with a proper investigation of the charge. The results of the investigation will in each case be communicated to the charging party. MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS All employees of the Tropicana must be within the state and federal age requirements for each job classification as well as the requirements of the Tropicana. employees under the age of eighteen must submit a juvenile work permit before the start of their first shift. SHERIFF'S CARDS All employees of the Tropicana must have a current sheriffs card in their possession at all times while at work. A sheriffs card is required identification to obtain a paycheck. It is the responsibility of the employee to renew their sheriffs card upon expiration. Any employee not having a current sheriffs card on file with the Personnel/Labor Relations Department will not be allowed to work. If there are any questions regarding sheriffs cards contact your immediate supervisor, the LVMPD-Workcard Department, of the Personnel/Labor Relations Department. JURY DUTY/WITNESS DUTY An employee who is required by law to appear in a proceeding as a witness may take unpaid time off for such purpose provided the immediate supervisor is given advance notice. Employees appearing in a proceeding as a witness at the request of the Tropicana will be compensated at their regular wages. MILITARY Employees who enter the Armed Forces of the United States of America will be granted leaves of absence in accordance with state and federal laws governing such leaves. BEREAVEMENT LEAVES In the event of a death in the immediate family of a full-time employee, a leave without loss of pay will be granted for a period of not to exceed four consecutive scheduled workdays for the purpose of making arrangements for or to attend the funeral. Immediate family is defined as spouse, natural and legally adopted children, father, mother, sister, brother, grandparent, grandchild, spouse's parent or legal guardian. Requests for bereavement pay must be made to the employee's immediate supervisor.
