I agree.FOLIES BERGERE 1983 t: I. OPENING ~f*rt**u A. We begin with the Folies Bergere style as it was in Paris in 1890. Featuring: 1. A large lace valentine that unfolds and comes to life. 2. Red velvet swings across the front of the stage with girls in pink, white and turquoise swinging out to the audience. 3. ^A?╟÷fxcfcl acaVcaiflB hm m?╟÷mlhLu:trtrrij:triUnfe.. .. > 4. A ragtime acrobatic dance section. B. in the second half of the opening, we go to the .Folies of the future. Featuring: The ceiling over the audience turning into a twinkling, starfilled sky. 2j) Clear discs with nude showgirls on them descending over the audience. 3. Large starbursts of lights with a nude girl in each one descending from the flyloft on stage. 4. The famous "Folies Bergere" staircase with the high energy dancers dressed in ultra-modern lavish costumes. II. ACT 111. THE PORCELAINE CLOCK A period French Fairtale about a magical clock whose figurines come to life at the stroke of midnight. Featuring: 1. Lavish period costuming. 2. A magnificent adagio. 3. A story with a surprise ending. 1V. ACT V. SALUTE TO AMERICAN MUSIC This segment is composed of six major numbers that follow chronologically from 1910 to 1980. Each number is designed to epitomize its period. A. Gospel - Featuring an old time revival meeting in a stark setting of carpenter gothic. B. The Blues - Featuring a rain effect, against floral wallpaper, and a female singer giving a "tour de force" rendition of the Blues. C. Movie Musical Music. Featuring: 1. A large phonograph with a turntable made up of girls and feathered fans, reflected in a large overhead mirror.
