Abstract
The Eric A. Jamieson Photographs contain photographic slides of the Western United States' Intermountain region from 1955 to 1983. The bulk of the images are of the region's physical and urban landscapes and include Las Vegas, Nevada, the Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street, Nevada mining towns, Red Rock Canyon, Mount Charleston, Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, and Death Valley.

Scope and Contents Note
The Eric A. Jamieson Photographs contains photographic slides from 1955 to 1983. Most images depict outdoor family vacations around Nevada and local Las Vegas, Nevada points of interest including the Las Vegas Strip, Fremont Street, Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Mount Charleston, and Lake Mead. Other areas featured in the slides include various neighborhoods in Las Vegas, Southern Utah, and Arizona. Jamieson's wife, Dalton Buck Jamieson, and his daughters, Barbara and Joan, are also represented throughout the collection in images of family and holiday gatherings.

Biographical / Historical Note
Eric A. Jamieson moved to Las Vegas, Nevada from Toronto, Ontario in 1945 to pursue a real estate career. He started at the Tom Campbell Real Estate Firm before opening his own office in June 1947. In 1946, Jamieson became a founding member of the Las Vegas Board of Realtors and was later an officer in 1949. Eric A. Jamieson died on September 30, 1988.
Dalton (Buck) Jamieson was born on May 13, 1909 in Lepanto, Arkansas. She was raised in Colorado and completed business college in Denver before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1935. Buck was employed at several law offices and was a prominent member of the Las Vegas community, as she was active with the Las Vegas Junior League, Red Cross, and Las Vegas Auxiliary Hospital. Dalton Buck Jamieson died on July 9, 1986.
Eric A. Jamieson and Dalton Buck were married on Saturday, July 6, 1946. Eric Jamieson had two daughters from a previous relationship, Barbara and Joan. The Jamieson family were avid travelers, and they documented their trips extensively.
