Whoever we send is gonna use that because we need that. I'm not voting because you've been in this or that, I'm voting on who will benefit from this. SENATOR AUSTIN: just to piggyback on what Senator Mullinax said, a major thing is going to the conference and learning all you can so what I really want to know is once you go to all these little things, and all this crap you do, are you going to be able to take notes and say this is what I learned, this is what will make it better, are you willing to do that? SENATOR MAYER: most people have made up their minds, Cianci, seems like the best choice because of his position, he works with E-board and Senate, but he has his hands on different areas of CSUN. Tim and Henry are both qualified as well, but to me, Cianci could apply this in a lot of different ways. SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: what if one of these Senators doesn't get re-elected? It needs to be somebody who has been elected. Senators are offset by Executive Board. The dates coincide with E-board elections. Vote: CIANCI: Cianci, Cazares, Corpuz, Mayer, Santiago, Jiminez, Zander, Huerta, Conway, Holmquist FRIEDLIEB: Thompson, Austin, and Flinner GOATZ: MacDonald and Espinosa SCHUCK: Mullinax, Soldano, Sumner, Lee, Heeg, Donnelly 10-3-2-6 11-9-2 Ryan Cianci is going to leadership. SENATOR CAZARES 2nds. SENATOR CIANCI: the reason why I propose the change, is because when I get my W- 2's they say scholarship, and you don't get taxed on scholarships. SENATOR FLINNER: referenced constitution 5, H, 5. SENATOR CIANCI: we at least have room for interpretation. SENATOR FLINNER: what if we waited, and Dave, can we get an answer in the next few weeks? SENATOR CIANCI give me your minutes and agendas please SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUTIA next meeting is on the 17th at 4. 2 hours should be enough. The next meeting will be on a Tuesday. I am now a believer in UNLVino. I saw students and alumni, and definitely a huge money maker for UNLV and I am honored to be able to accept the award on behalf of professor, and just listening to students talk about him, he gets up there and he knows civil engineers work hard and drink beer, There's 24 hours in a day, 24 cans in a case, coincident, I think not. It was a big honor, and we'll find a place for that. Intramural volleyball, got to play, relay for life was really good, goal was 10K, and we got it, it was a good cause, and each year we try to get people out. If you've had tattoos, and last night I was in my car and got in my first accident, my car was fine, I've been thinking of getting an SUV, and nothing happened to my car, if you're thinking about buying a car, Camrys, they are really good, and if you all have any questions or concerns, it is a new e board, and I believe there will be new and exciting things happening, we nominate, we gets things going, and it's thru directors, and legislative thru senate, if you have students that have concerns, come talk to us, cause students have concerns, I have no problem meeting at chipotle, but if you have someone that is distraught, by all means help them, if students have a huge issue, I know the fine arts college has been talking about getting a walkway, if they still want it, then comet alk to us. SENATOR FLINNER exits at 7:53pm. SENATE PRESIDENT AMES QUIT A: CSUN senate chambers/workroom, there are going to be some serious projects up there the next two weeks, it's probably going to be up there for studying, ask people to be quiet. Let's be aware people are trying to do work. SENATOR CIANCI: On a serious note, bylaws and statutes, get ready, today I'm relaxed, I gave blood, and lets get to UNLVino, I loved it, I'm in the paper, I'm pleased with it, I bought this wonderful shirt, must have tried 75% of the wines, and as much as I knew I was gonna get hammered, I tried to make it a scholastic event, I hung out, studied, it was fun. Go next year if you didn't go this year. If you plan on going next year, let me know, industry passes, and lastly, I attended relay for life, next fall, tailgates, serious note, don't take for granted the relationships you have with people. SENATOR CORPUZ: I gave you some minutes, ways and means, we need to meet, and Schuck, about how we shouldn't dwell in past, I totally agree, but there are platforms that people run on and it's good to keep those in mind, and it's good to know what got done or didn't get done. I participated in Relay for life. SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: tell students about screwthebookstore.com. UNLV is apart of it. SENATOR SUMNER: have a good week. Do good on finals. SENATOR SANTIAGO: congratulations Cianci on lab, and good luck with finals, don't lose too much sleep with studying. I don't want anyone to have to pay back. SENATOR FLINNER and SENATOR MACDONALD enter at 7:59. SENATOR CAZARES: good luck, thanks for money. SENATOR HUERTA: this Saturday is Latino celebration 6pm in ballroom. In 2 weeks we're gonna have a day of eating, relaxing, getting to know people. MEChA sponsored event. Thanks for electing me and good luck on finals. SENATOR THOMPSON: last week didn't get to welcome SENATOR HUERTA, it's good to be an Education Major, all I have to do is put in my... SENATOR FLINNER passes. SENATOR ESPINOZA: library extended hours this week. They will send you to a special room to study, this Wednesday, massages, get one. Don't stress about finals. SENATOR SOLDANO: Chris Powell is in audience. Good luck on finals. SENATOR HOLMQUIST: Good luck on finals. SENATOR ZANDER: stress free zone this Wednesday and good luck on finals. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB: last Friday production opened, great reviews, continuing run is Thursday through Sunday. Free to all students, $15 non students. Stay healthy Wednesday I was in the hospital I've said it before, stop letting things fly by that are wrong and shouldn't be happening happen. Don't just be like, I don't care, it's not about us, it's about students. SENATOR MULLINAX: don't bitch, don't whisper under your breath, study drunk, and take finals drunk. Passing is dumb. To quote Monica, "How old are you Cianci?" Summations Should be short bios not novels. Stop talking to me if you want to be on R and E. Talk to senate. Sang and thanks for not making fun of me. Now to Nick, I'm excited that Nick is graduating in 4 years, I'm excited for him, and when I joined, he didn't decide until his last year, and I'm glad he's done what he has for our senate . SENATOR HEEG: thanks SENATOR MACDONALD; thanks to Powell for coming to my last meeting, its just coincidence congratulations Cianci, although I still feel that our student body president should have the experience since he's the figurehead for CSUN.
