They're in that meeting right now. They're also doing study breakouts. She apologizes for not being here. Student Athletics None Student Body President's Advisory Council None Student Health Advisory Committee JESSICA ADLER: I pretty much put together a summary of what we did the past ten months. I think most of you know that the group was pretty fractured when I first started. I took it and did what I could. It was frustrating trying to get students involved, but I was lucky enough to have some great help. I want to thank SENATOR ZANDER, SENATOR THOMPSON, SENATOR CONWAY, SENATOR FLINNER, REBEL RADIO DIRECTOR GREENROCK, and OFFICE OF STUDENT INFORMATION DIRECTOR GUIDENG. I'm not going to go through this whole thing. I touched on all the projects that I had my hand in. I think the newsletter has the potential to be great. SENATOR DONNELLY enters at 6:08pm. ADLER: You have to hold yourselves to the bylaws. I made contact with President-Elect Schuck and I'm going to meet with him. We have 40 members of these councils. I have the contact info, for these members. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN always thinks of the student first. It comes naturally to her. I think it's awesome. I wish that all of us could have that quality. The 34t h session passed a mission statement. I would recommend that you reread it and stick to it. Obviously Senate has the overall say. Educate yourselves. Remember what your constituents want and have fun. If you have any questions. Marketing internship to be an academic one it has to be real specific. Dave said he would be willing to serve as the advisor. SENATOR SUMNER: When you pass it on tell them to come up to the Senators individually and have them write something. ROTC 2 CADET: The year is coming to an end. This Wednesday we are going to congratulate all cadets going to a camp or getting an award. This Saturday we will be representing ROTC and UNLV. SENATE PRESIDENT AMES QUIT A: Where and when on Wednesday? CADET: April 28 at 6pm at the foundation building. SENATOR SUMNER: Will you pass on our appreciation for coming to our meetings. CADET: We want to be informed as well. SENATOR JIMENEZ: Tell your boys to run for Senate because you guys seem very active. Leadership Advisory Board SENATE PRESIDENT AMES QUIT A: You will be voting on a new person today. Senate Committee Reports VICE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE BROWDER, SCHOLARSHIP CHAIRMAN: If you're a member I have a lot of paper work to go over. SENATOR DONNELLY, CAMPUS SAFETY AND AWARENESS CHAIRMAN: Campus Safety and Awareness is going to meet on 2pm on Friday April 30. SENATOR CORPUZ, WAYS AND MEANS CHAIRMAN: Ways and Means, we had a good quick meeting for the last funding requests. Unless you have any questions or concerns I'm going to combine most of them. If you're not a Senator or just a guest without a Senator I'll kick you out of the place if you're by yourself or else I'm going to take care of business. Faculty Senate/University Committee Reports ADLER: The Liberal Arts dean, Dr. Harter made an offer to Edward Chobin. He's a psychologist. He will do a good job. He will start July 1. SENATOR MAYER: He accepted the offer? ADLER: He verbally accepted it. SENATOR MAYER: We had another Rebel Yell Advisory Board meeting today. I made it a point to talk to him about the lack of CSUN coverage. Ashanti brought it up before I did. They said to me that they will have a beat writer 100%. They just had a hard time to find someone to sit through these meetings. Out next meeting is May 17. 3 SENATOR ZANDER: I went to the MSU planning committee. I'll pass around the square footage, and some pictures, and some preliminary groupings. The over budget I talked about last time, they found a way to get it. It's going to be a new structure. Built in three stories and built in two phases. They said that Rebel Radio would not grow until CSUN put up money for it. SENATOR MAYER: I hate to say this, but if they don't provide space we got to have that to have Rebel Radio. What's going on in those meetings? SENATOR ZANDER: Last time I reported they were 10 million over. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: I turned in a whole packet. SENATOR ZANDER: They would have a kiosk downstairs. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: This is where a challenge when you come up. We're the same body that supported it and you need to stand up for it. SENATOR ZANDER: It's still preliminary. SENATOR HOLMQUIST: If we're not going to have a Rebel Radio why are we funding it now? Definitely we need to make sure. SENATOR ESPINOZA: Are we all allowed to go and voice our opinions? PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: This is your time to voice your opinions to SENATOR ZANDER. SENATOR ZANDER: They just feel that it takes a lot of resources. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: Right. And I think they need to realize that they supported it too. $200,000.00 to put up a wall. We would be getting more space for the student government. SENATOR CAZARES: So it's not open to the public? SENATOR ZANDER: I am not honestly sure. Business Manager Report BUSINESS MANAGER HILL read the expenditures for the week. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB moved to move out of the order of the day to new business action item G. SENATOR CIANCI seconded the motion. 4 ( SENATOR FRIEDLIEB: So I can speak on this action item so I can tell you why. I have dress rehearsal at 7pm. I prefer to do it before I have to leave. Motion PASSES 17-1-0. SENATOR MAYER opposes. NEW BUSINESS SENATOR FRIEDLIEB moved to approve new business action item G. SENATOR ESPINOZA seconded the motion. G. Action Item: Approval of Senate Resolution 34-01 which declares that the CSUN Workroom to be renamed as the Senate Chambers. The approval of this resolution will formally declare the name of MSU 302 as the Senate Chambers. As submitted by Senators Friedleib and Espinoza. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB: One thing that some of us spend a lot of time up there, but we've seen people that have nothing to do. They have no reason to be up there. Even though it's not in the room. If it's the CSUN workroom, any undergrad could work up there. We want to change it so that it won't be implied. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: Where's the open door policy. We don't own these offices, they belong to the students. As far as renaming it, the student body president has the sole discretion to move everything around. What kind of a workroom would you be creating? SENATOR HEEG: Even if we do change the name, don't you think they're just going to randomly go up there anyway. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB: We can enforce it according to Senate rules. SENATOR SUMNER: The reason why he said it, either you want to change it or you don't. You know what the reason is. VICE PRESIDENT CHRISTIANSEN: Where would the JC and advisory council go? You Senators aren't up there enough of the time to have your own room. When it is used for work. A name change won't change anything. There's rules in place. SENATOR SUMNER: You can use the room for whatever you use it for. I don't think it's going to make a difference. It's not a huge debate. SENATOR JIMENEZ: I don't see many Senators up there in the first place so I don't think any of you would have a problem. SENATOR CAZARES: Was it ever named Senate Chambers? ( 5 PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: No. SENATOR CAZARES: Why does the sign say that? PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: Because it would be a waste of student funds to change the name on one sign. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB: In accordance with the rules we're to post our office hours on the door of the Senate Chambers. I know not many people post their hours. We really need to start doing that. SENATOR MAYER moved to amend the item by inserting, "CSUN Workroom/" before "Senate Chambers" in both instances. SENATOR CAZARES seconded the motion. G. Action Item: Approval of Senate Resolution 34-01 which declares that the CSUN Workroom to be renamed as the CSUN Workroom/Senate Chambers. The approval of this resolution will formally declare the name of MSU 302 as the CSUN Workroom/Senate Chambers. As submitted by Senators Friedleib and Espinoza. Motion PASSES 13-5-0. SENATOR CIANCI, SENATOR DONNELLY, SENATOR FRIEDLIEB, SENATOR HOLMQUIST, and SENATOR ESPINOZA oppose. New business action item G, as amended, PASSES 11-4-3. SENATOR FRIEDLIEB, SENATOR CONWAY, SENATOR DONNELLY, and SENATOR THOMPSON oppose. SENATOR CIANCI, SENATOR SANTIAGO, and SENATOR CAZARES abstain. SENATOR CIANCI moved to move out of the order of the day to unfinished business action item C. SENATOR JIMENEZ seconded the motion. SENATOR CIANCI: Reason why is because CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS has to go to class at 7pm, so it would nice to have him sworn in. Motion PASES UNANIMOUSLY 18-0-0. UNFINISHED BUSINESS SENATOR CAZARES moved to open nominations for unfinished business action item C. SENATOR CIANCI seconded the motion. 6 C. Action Item: Election of one (1) CSUN member to serve as the Senator for the College of Engineering for the remainder of the 34t h session. As submitted by Senate President Amesquita. SENATOR CIANCI moved to strike, "one (1) CSUN member" and inserting, "Adrian Huerta". SENATOR CAZARES seconded the motion. C. Action Item: Election of Adrian Huerta to serve as the Senator for the College of Engineering for the remainder of the 34th session. As submitted by Senate President Amesquita. Motion PASSES UNANIMOUSLY 18-0-0. ADRIAN HUERTA spoke on why he wanted to be a Senator. SENATOR CAZARES: Just to let you know there were some students that expressed interest, but couldn't commit the time to it. It's good to cover all aspects. He has spoken to me about what we are doing. SENATOR THOMPSON: Have you read the CSUN Constitution? HUERTA: Yes. Unfinished business action item C, as amended, PASSES 17-0-1. SENATOR HEEG abstains. CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS swore in Adrian Huerta. SENATOR CIANCI moved to move out of the order of the day to new business action item F. SENATOR MAYER seconded the motion. SENATOR CIANCI: This is for CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS, and he will be speaking on this one and QQ. Motion PASSES UNANIMOUSLY 19-0-0. NEW BUSINESS SENATOR CIANCI moved to approve new business action item F. SENATOR ESPINOZA seconded the motion. F. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $2,000.00 to be paid to Drew Novans, Esq. for his lecture on June 11, 2004 about preparation for law school and what to expect once you get to law school. Costs to be 7 encumbered from CSUN 2702 FY 03-04 account. $1,000.00 from the NSA (Lecture Series) budget and $1,000.00 from the Senate Discretionary ( budget. As submitted by Senator Cianci. SENATOR CIANCI moved to amend the item by striking, "$1,000.00 from the NSA (Lecture Series) budget and $1,000.00 from the Senate Discretionary" and inserting, "$500.00 from the NSA (Marketing) and $500.00 from the NSA (Discretionary)". SENATOR CAZARES seconded the motion. F. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $2,000.00 to be paid to Drew Novans, Esq. for his lecture on June 11, 2004 about preparation for law school and what to expect once you get to law school. Costs to be encumbered from CSUN 2702 FY 03-04 account. $500.00 from the NSA (Marketing) and $500.00 from the NSA (Discretionary) budget. As submitted by Senator Cianci. Motion PASSES UNANIMOUSLY 19-0-0. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN: It's a concern of mine to bring out an attorney for $2,000.00 since we have a law school on campus. CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS: That was a big concern. Drew Novans travels around the country. The reason why he's an expert is because he worked at New York grad admissions. They're outdated on what they need to go to law school. The info we're getting is completely wrong. It's necessary for us to be competitive because we don't have those resources. SENATOR CONWAY: Is this for grad school or for law school. CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: He talks about both. He was admissions rep for both law and grad school. SENATOR MAYER: This speech is going to be on June 11. No one is going to come. I guess what I would say if it was during the school year. CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: We sat down and talked about him. He said that the best time would be June because it is three to four months before you would start taking those tests. There's going to be a lot of people that need this. A lot of people are looking for somewhere to go. SENATOR MAYER: How do we know these students will show up? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: Aside from asking those people your answer is as good as mine. SENATOR HEEG: It's my understanding when applying to law school their will be students out there applying to law schools and you need the info for it. Those are the kids I 8 that would want to go. It's their loss if they don't go. They would want to go to this thing and it would be our job to promote it. I think that it would be necessary for us to promote it. SENATOR HOLMQUIST: If the whole point were to provide it, I would think that you would need it at the beginning of the year not toward the end. They're not going to apply in June to August. Bring him in the fall if we can do that. SENATOR SUMNER: I believe that the law school has the office of admissions. How could you not know the info from them? It is an admissions office. Wouldn't they have the info? CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS: They're going to give you info about their admissions office. He gives you a schedule and all this information. The schedule starts in June. They take their test in October. It would be for juniors and it would prep them out. SENATOR SUMNER: You have attended this before? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: Yes. I believe I attend in New York less than a year ago. I went to the pre law advisor and the info he gave me was totally wrong. SENATOR CRAWFORD: This lecture on prep for grad and law school, they take $1,000.00 to take like Kaplan, but this guy can provide guidance for juniors that will be grad soon. What kind of publicity is their going to be? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: With him there will be flyers over campus and an RSVP list. After the seminar you can keep in contact with him. He works with those students after it. SENATOR CRAWFORD: Is there a limited number of students that can attend? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: Usually he charges $150.00 to $200.00, but since he wants to get his name out he's willing to do it for a lot less. Any amount is fine. SENATOR ESPINOZA: This is a great thing. I guess the timing. But people going to law school aren't going to take it lightly. I'm sure they have no problem going in May, June, or August. Same thing, I want to be a doctor so if someone could give me instructions on how to do it. I don't' know why we're taking so long. NEVADA STUDENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR TEGANO: I do think it is worthy. With the degree of specificity. What are you going to do to make sure that everyone that wants to go to law school? This is through your law fraternity. How many people are in that? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: 15 attending and 15 members without publicizing it. We're going to all the organizations that are about a grad career. ( Q NEVADA STUDENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR TEGANO: You need to do it this week and next week. Otherwise to hold an event like this is silly. You have to do that. VICE PRESIDENT CHRISTIANSEN: I was wondering who is going to run this thing. I don't know. There's supposed to be a break down across the board. I have no clue who is going to run this. CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: I would be more than happy to put it together. That $2,000.00 total will take care of everything. SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: This is to get him here? CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: Yes regardless if it lasts an hour or three hours. SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: If this is going to get approve the new vice president would be happy to do it for you. SENATOR MAYER: Everyone here probably thinks it's a good idea. I'm familiar with the schedule. I would suggest that we table for a week. Because I think we're excluding a lot of students. If we did it in the early fall it would give everyone an opportunity to attend the event. I think we're all worried about the date. CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: He would be willing to come in the fall. I think you could work anything out with him. He's into students. That's what he likes. SENATOR HOLMQUIST: I don't feel real comfortable when they don't have any idea on who's running the event or marketing the event. SENATOR CRAWFORD: I just want to say that I'm applying for law school in the fall and I think we should do it ASAP. The prep is a long time. You can't just have this lecture and tell them how to be prepared and then have them take their LSAT in two weeks and apply after that. I would think that they would be more concerned to show up rather than later. CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS: The pre-law organization will do it. We'll have numbers there. This will eventually save students thousands of dollars. It saved me about that. The admissions rep. won't tell you this. This will benefit the students immensely. Phi Alpha Delta would be happy to take it upon ourselves to put out the flyer. SENATOR CIANCI: CHIEF JUSTICE MOAS is right that prep happens months in advance if you try to squash that in a month. The vice president will obviously be handling that. I doubt that it will be filled for now. Just like we did for Gutierrez. I'll go down there personally to do it. For marketing, the pre-law fraternity will have no problem to do it. One it's a great recruitment tool. Your not just looking at it from a poli sci standpoint. It just doesn't cover Liberal Arts. 10 ( SENATOR MAYER: Do they have any money to do it? SENATOR CIANCI: They don't. It's not anywhere near you would think. They are basically running offer their small dues and the $500.00 from us. SENATOR CONWAY: If you guys could just reserve a room and I'm sure CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS is not trying to bamboozle us out of money. It's not that hard. I think we realize the seriousness about it. I'm not trying to go so it won't benefit me. SENATOR CIANCI moved to move out of the order of the day to new business action item QQ, SENATOR CONWAY seconded the motion. Motion PASSES UNANIMOUSLY 19-0-0. NEW BUSINESS SENATOR CIANCI moved to approve new business action item QQ. SENATOR MACDONALD seconded the motion. QQ. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 to be paid to the College of Liberal Arts for the Phi Alpha Delta, Pre-Law Fraternity Washington D.C. trip to take place on November 6 through November 8, 2003. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 03-04 Senate Discretionary account. Amendment to appropriation of item B of meeting 33-33 of new business. As submitted by Senator Cianci. SENATOR CIANCI moved to amend the item by striking, "College of Liberal Arts" and inserting, "Honors College". SENATOR CRAWFORD seconded the motion. QQ. Action Item: Approval of an amount not to exceed $3,000.00 to be paid to the Honors College for the Phi Alpha Delta, Pre-Law Fraternity Washington D.C. trip to take place on November 6 through November 8, 2003. Costs to be encumbered from the CSUN 2702 FY 03-04 Senate Discretionary account. Amendment to appropriation of item B of meeting 33-33 of new business. As submitted by Senator Cianci. SENATOR CIANCI: The reason is because CHIEF JUSTICE MO AS and myself have been working very hard and the Honors College has been working with us. This should be the last time you see this item. It's already been approved. SENATOR AUSTIN: So the $3,000.00 was already taken out of the budget? SENATOR CIANCI: Yes. SENATOR CONWAY: What was this for? 11 SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: The trip where they went to D.C. last fall. Amendment PASSES 17-0-1. SENATOR CONWAY abstains. New business action item QQ, as amended, PASSES UNANIMOUSLY 18-0-0. SENATOR CIANCI moved to move back into the order of the day to Director's Reports. SENATOR ESPINOZA seconded the motion. Motion PASSES 18-1-0. SENATOR CONWAY opposes. Director's Reports PUBLICATIONS DIRECTOR GEORGE: It was kind of ruff to begin with. I have decided not to return simply because I'm a film major. Ever since then I haven't given one thought to film. I'm going to try to restart the film society. Hopefully you guys will appoint him as the next director because I think he's qualified for it. It takes more than programs to get the magazine going. You guys had a disk for a week but you guys approved it without ten seconds of thought. I've sat through meetings just talking about $900.00 for a cancer walk. We spent a half hour today about the name of a room. If you guys do want to see the magazine, I do have it but it's a loose-leaf copy if you want to see it you can check it out. I do want to thank you. It's been a great. We really do do a lot of stuff. SENATOR ESPINOZA: Didn't we approve it to be paid by Rebelpalooza. What happened to that? PUBLICATIONS DIRECTOR GEORGE: We were going to rush it if it could've been done by today but they said it was impossible to get it done by today. Instead of rushing it we'll get more copies. We'll get the copies Thursday. I'm going to make sure it gets out after my term. SENATOR JIMENEZ: I think you did a great job and you should also run for Senate. PUBLICATIONS DIRECTOR GEORGE: There's hardly any white space on this. SENATOR CAZARES: I want to say thanks and I saw a couple of engineering students looking through it. SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA: Absolutely amazing job you did. ELECTIONS DIRECTOR EVANS: Basically I'm just cleaning up my desk. I hope that I leave it in a lot better situation in the way I came into it. So hopefully it will be a lot better transition this way around. There will be a lot of changes from an election director point. I did want to let you know that the next election director and you guys need to look at the bylaw and as far as the judicial board and where the power really lies and 12 what really can be done. And I don't have the answer to everything and you guys really need to look at that. So that the next person isn't at a loss on what they can or cannot do. I just want to say that before I leave. I want to thank SENATE PRESIDENT AMESQUITA. Without him I probably wouldn't be a director. VICE PRESIDENT CHRISTIANSEN has been a great asset to me. He was always keeping me on track. I think he is what you should strive for as a student. Whether you agree or don't, he's here for the right reasons. PRESIDENT MORADKHAN, I don't think anyone can say enough about her. I don't know what student government is going to do without her. I thought I would have an easy time with Mike and Nick and it was the complete opposite. She had every answer to my questions. We're here to support each other not to focus on what is going wrong. SENATOR CIANCI, you have a been a great support for me. He is always behind the scenes with me. I want to thank all the directors. I think you guys are losing a lot of great leadership. I had a great time at Rebelpalooza. ASSISTANT ELECTIONS DIRECTOR TAYLOR-CAUDWELL did a great job and made a lot of mistakes and learned from it and grew as a person and as a leader. We talk about apathy and that students don't care and they don't do stuff and we criticize the ones doing it. We're the ones doing something and we're getting involved paid or not. You shouldn't be here to fight at all. That there aren't enough people are publishing personal attacks on people if you guys are appointed or elected people we are the people getting involved whether you agree or not. There is no reason to be attacking each other. We should be encouraging people to get involved. I think it's been disgraceful the things in the Rebel Yell this past month. People in this room, I would never say anything publicly to tell you how bad of a job your doing. This is a million dollar business and you don't act like it sometime. I don't think anyone would go outside before personally attacking me. I really hope that people learn from this, and sit and feel bad for at least a second and get over it. I hope they put as much effort into bringing down my board as you do as this next executive board will do. With that I want to say thank you and that these things happen. SENATOR CIANCI: I just want to restate that you would want to come back and support. I knew that what happened there wasn't your fault. That's the one job I would probably never do. I think you did an excellent job running the primary and general elections. SENATOR SUMNER: If what was printed in the Rebel Yell was printed about me there are people in CSUN that appreciate what you do. Be proud of yourself. SENATOR MAYER: You got the toughest director job so far. Whoever loses will be mad and cause headaches. Getting the electronic voting going makes the results quicker and moved us in the direction we want to go. SENATOR CAZARES: The few times I did get to work with you before the constitutional. The two people in engineering said that it ran a lot smoother and had you in high praise. 13 ENTERTAINMENT AND PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR LONG: Rebelpalooza was a big success and in the eyes of the people working the show. The guy that started the event gave me tons of compliments on it. Everything I have heard has been pretty positive and about alcohol the thing with that is that alcohol doesn't make an event. People had problems with it. We just told them that alcohol ran out. The biggest comment came from Kent. He said that we hate doing college shows but this one was the best by far. It ran smooth, organized, and professional and I'll tell Stormy to book shows at UNLV. The numbers were 1,422 tickets sold. 3,112 students and 600 comps. The last hour and a half we didn't take tickets so the numbers are up even more. Those are your peers of college students that were there. Now they have a clue about CSUN. Those are your college peers. They doubled the attendees. We raised $26,241 from tickets sales. Dave and I counted the money and Dave called the old business manager Jim Moore and said that we normally get a $1,000.00 back. I believe that this is the best Rebelpalooza that we had. Hopefully you will give it more money. I think it can rival festivals of other around Las Vegas. SENATOR ESPINOZA: You did a great job. You guys had the trampolines. I wanted to say that you did a great job. ENTERTAINMENT AND PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR LONG: As far as the year went the E & P did a great job. We worked well together. We did more events than usual and had very few problems. Since movie nights were not a big success for tickets that was a really cool thing you did. We also had our regular ones here. And free concert tickets for the House of Blues. You still had your chance to see them at HOB for free. We had more noon scenes and tailgates. Now they cost well over $10,000.00 dollars. Next year when you try to book it when you say Yellow Card, they'll want to play UNLV. For next year there is only one person that can do this job. And that's ASSISTANT ENTERTAINMENT AND PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR ARNESON. This job you just can't hop into. He's the next logical choice to take over and I think he'll do a better job than I did. There's a rumor of the budget being cut next year. That's a mistake. Everything that we've done we've improved on. Think about that when the budget comes. SENATOR CRAWFORD: I really admire the job you did. Makes me want to be a part of the E & P board. SENATOR JIMENEZ: Rebelpalooza was good. I told a few of my bros I was just going to go. I thought that it was a lot of money to spend. Some of the music was weird. We definitely need to continue this. You were like the dad of Rebelpalooza. SENATOR SOLDANO: I want to say you did a tremendous job. In the community they here it on the radio. If we cut funding we would be going in the wrong direction. SENATOR CAZARES: I was there for the fight and you kept your cool that was really good. I agree with SENATOR SOLDANO. 14 SENATOR SUMNER: You put in a lot of work and we appreciate it. Good job for everything you did. SENATOR CORPUZ: Good job through the whole year. SENATOR MACDONALD: Not only is he Entertainment and Programming Director, but in the class he took a big part on as being the professor. He is not above any of it. We were out there until like 3:30am picking up trash and he was doing everything we did. SENATOR CIANCI: I don't think you have to worry about the budget being cut. I've always thought you did a great job. Just do one thing and don't be so damn grumpy. Amazing job. NEVADA STUDENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR TEGANO: My initial idea when I got appointed to this position. We are here to make them feel better. I think that I'm happy with the job I did this year because we made great strides. I was very pleased to do that. I would like to acknowledge NEVADA STUDENT AFFAIRS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR BLOOD, Jessica Adler, and SENATOR SOLDANO. They were the core of the board. You guys will have a presentation in June with the data. One of my goals was to get data so we can plan events and programming. I really feel like most of my success was because of VICE PRESIDENT CHRISTIANSEN giving me the freedom, but also I felt like I could talk to talk to any members of the Executive Board. I would like to see the Senate come up to our office a lot more. I think that every Senator could have a collaboration with every director. I would challenge you to meet with the new directors. There is one item before you for $750.00 for a speaker. He wrote a controversial book about higher education In Nevada. I'm please to announce that there is very little left in my budget. We spent the money and we spent it well. I would consider increasing it. I really made a lot of friends up here and I feel really fortunate about it. SENATOR CAZARES: I want to say you've been a delight to work with. The people from the Honors College appreciate it. It's been an honor to work with you. SENATOR CIANCI: I've always liked you up there. Thank you for the $1,000.00 appreciate that. Aside from that I've accepted your criticism very well. I've always taken it to heart in general versus just anything. You try to bring out the best with in me. SENATOR SUMNER: I think the best quality you bring is your professionalism. You were well spoken and you knew what you wanted to do. Your ability to listen and tried to write it down and apply it. SENATOR MAYER: We've know each other for five years. We're going to miss you when you go to Bard College. We've had long discussions a
